Season 3 of Sex Education is finally here! The long-awaited third season of the hit show has finally arrived for everyone on Netflix but the team here at LCL Reviews was lucky enough to screen the new season early and we have some THOUGHTS. For this review, we will be avoiding spoilers so you can read on even if you haven’t had a chance to watch all of season 3 yet. Without further ado, here is our spoiler free review.

-Interpersonal relationships: The development of relationships for multiple characters was super strong this season. Whether it be the friendship between Maeve and Aimee or romantic relationships for Adam and Eric, Lily and Ola or Otis and Ruby, relationships were truly the driving force of season 3.

-Jean “the queen” Milburn: Gillian Anderson has captured all of our attention and hearts since she first appeared, but season 3 makes us love her even more. Jean not only excels at being a single parent to Otis, she also is a rockstar sex therapist and this season she’s dealing with an unexpected pregnancy and becoming a second-time mom, all while looking flawless. She truly is iconic.

-Angst and Plot Twists: I think that the third season is the most angsty one yet and, without delving into spoilers, we can say that things we didn’t want to happen, happened, but there were also things that we really wanted to happen that came true! Annoyingly vague, I know, but it’ll all make sense after you watch season 3.

-Truth hurts: The third season of Sex Education emphasizes the importance of being truthful and being true to who you are, even if it hurts. While it might seem easier sometimes to just change who you are to fit in and learn to go with the flow so that you don’t make waves, this season highlights the importance of being yourself and speaking your truth, no matter the consequences.

-Overall impressions: The team here at LCL Reviews agrees; Season 3 of Sex Education is a strong, solid batch of episodes with a  cliffhanger that makes us eager for season 4. We desperately need to know what happens next with all of our favorite characters after THAT finale and we’re optimistic that Netflix will deliver.

Stay tuned for our spoiler-filled review of Sex Education’s third season and be sure to give it a read after you’ve watched the season, but until then, happy watching.
