Lucifer season 6 is coming earlier than everyone expected! So if you didn't have enough Lucifer this year, your prayers have been answered. Netflix just dropped the date for the final season of Lucifer and it's closer than you think.

The news was announced today during the Comic Con At Home 2021 Lucifer panel with Tom Ellis, Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson.

Not only did they give us the release date, they also graced us with a teaser for the last season which shows Lucifer (looking rather dashing in a white tux) driving his Corvette and being pulled over by a police officer. Sound familiar? Yes that's right, its a parallel to the opening scene of the show with the same dirty cop too! But this time is different. Lucifer says "This is my last night in LA." WHAT?

Some things that were teased during the panel include does Lucifer solving crimes in season 6 (yes), will Chloe die if she takes off the ring (no), and Amenadiel will join the LAPD. Joe and Ildy dodged questions about Lucifer having all of God's powers and Ella finding out the truth about Lucifer.

The Lucifer Netflix Twitter account also engaged fans in a somewhat mind-boggling mystery to reveal the season 6 release date via a youtube link code! Sneaky little devils!

Lucifer final season date announcement on YouTube

Netflix have given the final synopsis of Lucifer:

This is it, the final season of Lucifer. For real this time. The devil himself has become God… almost. Why is he hesitating? And as the world starts to unravel without a God, what will he do in response? Join us as we say a bittersweet goodbye to Lucifer, Chloe, Amenadiel, Maze, Linda, Ella and Dan. Bring tissues.

TISSUES?!!! Oh dear.
